Biography
Born in Vilnius in 1985, Andrius Blaževičius is a Lithuanian director and screenwriter. He studied cultural history and anthropology at Vilnius University before turning to film at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he earned a master’s degree in directing in 2011. After making several short films, Blaževičius went on to direct features including The Saint (2016) and Runner (2021), both of which were acclaimed at international festivals. How to Divorce During the War (2026) is his third feature and premiered in the World Cinema Competition at Sundance.
