John Patton Ford

John Patton Ford is an American director and screenwriter. He studied at the University of South Carolina and graduated from the American Film Institute. His thesis short film, Patrol (2010), premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. A member of the Writer’s Guild, he worked as a screenwriter for Sony, Universal and Disney, before directing his feature film, Emily the Criminal (2022) which also premiered at Sundance. How to Make a Killing (2026) is his second feature film.
