Biography

Born in Montréal in 1950, Léa Pool is a renowned Canadian director and screenwriter, who studied cinema at the University of Québec in Montréal. She is known for her sensitive films exploring identity, desire and memory, such as Set Me Free (1999), Lost and Delirious (2001) and The Passion of Augustine (2015). Her films have won awards at the Berlinale, Génie Awards and Iris Awards.
