Paul LAVERTY

Paul Laverty is a British screenwriter and a lawyer. He spent several years in Central America, where he mainly worked for a human rights organisation. A close friend to director Ken Loach, they made 14 feature films together, alongside their friend and producer Rebecca O’Brien—ten of which have been in the official section of the Cannes film festival. Several of his films with Ken Loach and with Iciar Bollain have won awards, and he also won Best Screenplay Awards at the Cannes film, the Venice Film Festival and the San Sebastian Film Festival.
