To mark the return of LuxFilmLab, Bidibul Productions, the LuxFilmFest and Kinepolis invite you to a screening of the 2025 Palme d’Or winner, It Was Just an Accident, in the exceptional presence of its director Jafar Panahi.
This powerful, political film, shot clandestinely, once again confirms the immense talent of Jafar Panahi, a major figure in contemporary cinema.
This is a unique opportunity to meet the filmmaker and talk with him after the screening.
Discover the film exclusively on Wednesday, 24 September at 8 p.m. at Kinepolis Kirchberg.
Iran, present day. A man happens to bump into someone he believes to be his former torturer. But when faced with this family man who vehemently denies having been his tormentor, doubt sets in.
About LuxFilmLab:
The first Wednesday of every month, LuxFilmLab – a joint initiative by Luxembourg City Film Festival and Kinepolis – highlights one feature film, chosen in cooperation by LuxFilmFest’s team and the Kinepolis programme team. A member of the Festival programming team introduces the special LuxFilmLab screenings, with the aim of supporting films whose release dates didn’t allow for them to be selected for the Festival itself but whose artistic qualities would very likely have led to their inclusion in the LuxFilmFest line-up.
*LuxFilmFest isn’t involved in the commercial aspects of these screenings. Access to the screenings and ticket prices are set by Kinepolis.
