Maša AVRAMOVIĆ

Born in Belgrade in 1994, Maša Avramović is a Serbian director and illustrator. She studied animation at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade and at La Poudrière in Valence, France. Her short film Baking with Boris (2023), produced as part of Folimage’s Young Audience Residency, was selected in 193 festivals and won dozens of awards.

Jaimeen DESAI
Jaimeen DESAI

Born in India in 1988, Jaimeen Desai is an animation film director. He graduated from the Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) and the National Institute of Design (NID) and continued his studies in France at La Poudrière. He also took part in the Young Audience Residency of Folimage, where he directed his short film Théo et le château d’eau.

Alain GAGNOL & Jean-Loup FELICOLI

Born in 1960, Jean-Loup Felicioli studied at the Fine Arts schools in Annecy, Strasbourg, Perpignan, and Valence. He has been working as an animator at Folimage studio since 1987. Born in 1967, Alain Gagnol studied animation at Emile Cohl school in Lyon, before starting working at Folimage in 1988. They have been working together for more than 20 year, writing and directing more than fifteen short films. Their first feature film, A Cat in Paris (2010) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. They directed two other feature films, Phantom Boy (2013) and Nina and the Hedgehog’s Secret (2022).

Augusto ZANOVELLO

Augusto ZANOVELLO
Augusto ZANOVELLO

Born in Brazil in 1965, Augusto Zanovello studied art in Belo Horizonte before moving to France in 1985. He studied at the Paris III University, Les Gobelins and graduated from Louis Lumière school. He then worked in various animation studios as animator, layout artist and storyboarder. His short film Women’s Letters (2013) won more than 30 awards and has been selected in over 110 festivals. In 2013, he co-founded Komadoli Studio, a production company specialized in stop motion animation.
