Jury President : Rodrigo Sorogoyen
Rodrigo Sorogoyen is a Spanish director and screenwriter. After his studies in screenwriting at ECAM film school, he co-directed his first feature film 8 Dates at the age of 25. His self-produced film Stockholm premiered at the Malaga Film Festival and won several prestigious awards in Spain. His third feature, May God Save Us (Que Dios nos perdone) gained international recognition and was nominated for the Goya Awards. In 2017, his short film Madre competed at the Oscars, and his fourth feature The Realm (El reino) won seven Goya awards, including Best Director and Best Screenplay. In 2022, his latest film The Beasts (As Bestas) triumphed once again at the Goyas. His most recent project is the series The New Years (Los años nuevos).
Alma Pöysti is an award-winning, critically acclaimed Finnish actress who is a powerhouse performer both on screen and on the stage, who continues to captivate audiences with her versatility and has established herself as one to watch. She is known for her work in Aki Kaurismäki’s romantic comedy-drama Fallen Leaves (2023), Pirjo Honkasalo’s film Orenda (2025), Selma Vilhunen’s film Four Little Adults (2023), Fares Fares’ film A Day and a Half (2023), and Zaida Bergroth’s film Tove (2020). Pöysti graduated from the Theatre Academy at the University of Helsinki and earned a Masters Degree in Arts.
Lisandro Alonso is a major figure in Argentine cinema. He gained international acclaim with his debut feature, La Libertad, which premiered at Cannes in 2001. After founding his production company 4L, he returned to Cannes with Los Muertos and completed a trilogy with Fantasma. In 2008, he explored a more fictional approach with Liverpool. In 2014, his film Jauja, starring Viggo Mortensen, won the prestigious FIPRESCI award. He has recently finished filming La Libertad doble, a project that returns to the setting and characters of his very first film, 25 years later.
A charismatic member of The Libertines and Babyshambles, Peter Doherty embodies authentic rock, blending fragile poetry and romantic chaos. He began his solo career in 2009 with his album Grace/Wastelands, which was almost entirely acoustic and clearly revealed his folk and jazz influences. Several solo albums followed, as well as a collaboration with Frédéric Lo on the album The Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime. In 2012, he made his film debut as Octave in Sylvie Verheyde’s Confession d’un enfant du siècle, which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2024, Stranger in My Own Skin, a documentary directed by his partner Katia de Vidas, who filmed him in his daily life for several years, was released. He composed the soundtrack for Xavier Beauvois’ film La Vallée des fous.
Rae Lyn Lee is a Luxembourg-based filmmaker and cinematographer. Originally from Singapore, her cross-cultural perspective subtly shapes her storytelling. She co-wrote and shot “Breathing Underwater (Hors d’Haleine)”, a film that received multiple local and international awards. She is currently developing her next project, a bittersweet sex comedy, that continues her interest in intimacy, relationships, and the quiet absurdities of everyday life.
