
ANIK LE RAY
Anik Le Ray is a French author and screenwriter for animated films. In the 1990s, she worked for the studio La Fabrique until meeting Jean-François Laguionie and starting her career as a scriptwriter. They start their ongoing collaboration on A Monkey’s Tale (1999) and have since worked on multiple other films, including among others Black Mor’s Island (2004), The Painting (2011) and most recently The Prince’s Voyage (2019). Among her references are multiple cinematic gems such as Un cadeau pour Sélim (2001), L’oiseau Do (2004), Petit Wang (2005), L’ange-tirelire (2005) and Alpha Beta (2007), as well as multiple TV specials that were nominated for a Cartoon d’Or, won awards at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival or were selected for multiple other international festivals. She has also written the original screenplay for Dominique Monféry’s Eleanor’s Secrets (2009). Anik Le Ray lives and works with Jean-François Laguionie in Trédarzec in Brittany.
