Presented for the first time across three emblematic venues in Luxembourg City – neimënster, Mudam and Villa Louvigny – the Immersive Pavilion 2026 showcases cutting-edge works in virtual, augmented and mixed reality, alongside sonic installations competing for the “Best Immersive Experience” at the Luxembourg City Film Festival.
This 9th edition invites visitors into poetic, introspective and playful worlds where imagination meets technology. Documentary, fiction, animation and interactive storytelling explore experiences of loss, trauma and healing, as well as narratives rooted in ancestral histories, sound archives and collective memory. Other works confront social and environmental crises such as injustice, ecological collapse, forced migration and gentrification with urgency and creative force, advocating for community, multiculturalism and environmental awareness.
This edition also honours Craig Quintero – a long-standing Pavilion artist and winner of the Luxembourg City Film Festival’s 2023 Award for Best Immersive Experience – with Just for You: a trilogy of his acclaimed VR works.
The Immersive Pavilion is curated by the Film Fund Luxembourg and PHI Montreal in partnership with the Luxembourg City Film Festival, neimënster and Mudam.
In collaboration with the Luxembourg City Film Festival, Film Fund Luxembourg organises the “Best Immersive Experience” award honoring the best work presented at this year’s Immersive Pavilion. IMMERSIVE DAYS
The Pavilion’s 8th Immersive Days will once again bring together leading international experts, professionals, and artists from across the XR ecosystem to explore the latest innovations, trends, and challenges shaping the industry.
Taking place over two days at Neimënster and Mudam Luxembourg, the programme will feature panels, presentations, and conversations addressing key topics such as new exhibition and touring models, interactive documentary practices, funding opportunities, and the integration of immersive art into theaters and museums. A dedicated showcase will highlight projects currently in development, along with the artists featured in this year’s Immersive Pavilion.
Day 1 will be open to the public, offering presentations by the Pavilion’s artists on immersive artistic practices and emerging technologies.
Day 2 will be reserved for industry professionals, fostering deeper dialogue on the future of the sector and encouraging international exchange, collaboration, and peer networking.
