Synopsis

Willem Dafoe and Greta Lee shine in poignant and witty New York story

Ed Saxberger, a forgotten New York poet, finds himself unexpectedly admired by a group of young artists. Intoxicated by this sudden attention and the alluring presence of theater actress Gloria, Saxberger gradually reckons with the authenticity of this newfound circle.

Kent JONES

Kent Jones is an American filmmaker, film critic and programmer. He studied film at the University of New York before pursuing a career as film critic, writing for publications including Cahiers du Cinéma and Cinama Scope. In the 1990s, he worked as a video archivist for Martin Scorsese, and collaborate on several documentaries about film history. He served as the director of the New York Film Festival from 2013 to 2019. He is renowned as a director for his documentary Hitchcock/Truffaut (2015) and fiction film Diane (2018). His second narrative feature, Late Fame (2025) had its world premier in the Orizzonti section at Venise.
