Synopsis
Anker is released from prison following a fifteen-years sentence for robbery. The money from the heist was buried by Anker’s brother, Manfred. Only he knows where it is. Unfortunately, Manfred has since developed a mental disorder, causing him to forget all. Together, the brothers embark on an unexpected journey to locate the money and discover who they really are.

Anders Thomas Jensen


Anders Thomas Jensen (born in 1972 in Frederiksværk, Denmark) is a screenwriter and film director renowned for his dark humour and taste for the absurd. Winner of the 1999 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short (Election Night), he quickly established himself as one of the most influential voices in Scandinavian cinema. As a screenwriter, he has penned numerous acclaimed films, including In a Better World (Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, 2011, directed by Susanne Bier). Alongside this, he has developed a distinctive body of work as a director, with cult films such as Flickering Lights (2000), The Green Butchers (2003), Adam’s Apples (2005), Men & Chicken (2015), and Riders of Justice (2020).
A master at blending violence, satire, and tenderness, he has helped redefine contemporary Danish cinema and frequently collaborates with leading actors such as Mads Mikkelsen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas.
