Upside Down (Drënner an Driwwer)
Synopsis
Discover the Latvian forest with this program of four stop-motion films in which lovely animated puppets embark on incredible adventures. In no order: a community of insects learning to a clumsy acorn how to walk, a family of flies rebelling against a mushroom picker, hungry rabbits enjoying a burlesque tasting and a bat exploring the world upside down… unless it’s the other way around.
Drawing on the masterful expertise of the Latvian animation studio Animācijas Brigāde, this program of four films for young children delves into the daily lives of equally small animals, whose adventures take on a charmingly romantic dimension while conveying values of tolerance, friendship and a clear appreciation for the musicality of nature.
